Race starts at 7:30 a.m.
Staging for the King of the Causeway Saturday morning race will be at Port Isabel High School located on Highway 100. Prizes for best sprint and climbs to be marked at different locations on the course. Exact locations for sprint & climbs to be determined.
Cool prizes for winners of sprints and climbs. King of the Causeway to be determined by a combination of points earned from the morning and the evening races. (Points earned in the fastest sprint or best climb categories are not figured into the overall winner of the King of the Causeway.)
The night race is the official kick-off to the annual Iron Horse Sunset Memorial Parade which features hundreds of motorcycles parading across the Causeway and traveling the entire length of the Island to the Convention Center.
Cyclists line up on the Island and race cross the Causeway twice before racing down the main boulevard of the Island for the finish. Thousands of spectators line the parade route to watch the motorcycles roar by and this year they will be treated to our 4th exciting bicycle race to the finish line.
The Causeway is normally closed to bicycle traffic, so take advantage of this great opportunity to show what you are made of!
Packet pick up starts at 6:30 a.m.
The tour & poker run starts at 7:30 a.m.
Staging for the King of the Causeway Tour & Poker Run will be at SPI Convention Center and Visitor's Bureau on the Island.
The tour & poker run route takes you down the main boulevard on the Island, across the Causeway, and through some of the small, friendly towns in deep South Texas.
Your first poker card is drawn at registration, then draw one at each of the support stations located on the course. Turn in your poker hand at the end of the ride to be eligible to win fantastic door prizes.

On Sunday, women ride *FREE.
*Must be accompanied by fully registered adult male.

17th Annual SPI BikeFest Motorcycle Rally:
You'll have plenty of music, vendors, food and events to fill your day. Daily concerts with Saturday Night Mixed Marshall Arts Fight on the main stage. When you sign up for the King of the Causeway, you get 3 days access to SPI BikeFest rally, dog tag, event pin, admission to all concerts, Saturday night fight, field events, and vendors.
King of the Causeway (top 3 places) awarded to individuals with lowest combined scores from both Saturday races. Medals awarded to top 3 finishers in the other categories.
For the Tour:
The crossing of the Causeway is an extreme test of a person's physical and mental limits and carries with it the potential for serious injury, property loss and death. You must be physically fit, have sufficiently trained for participation in this event, and have not been advised against participation by a qualified health professional. Children must be accompanied by their parent(s) or a responsible adult. SPI Police Department will require the SAG support vehicle to pick up any participant they deem not able to successfully cross the Causeway. There will be no refunds for unsuccessful attempts at crossing the Bridge.
