Get ready for four days of great entertainment, food, and fun at SPI BikeFest! For the 16th year in a row, SPI BikeFest, Inc. is bringing you to one of the country's premier vacation spots - South Padre Island, Texas, and packing 3-days with the best food, merchandise and live entertainment - all for your pleasure. We promise - time will pass very quickly as you head from event to event at the SPI Convention Centre and Visitor’s Bureau. The next 3 days cap off a full year of meetings and planning and more meetings and more planning … . Really! As your rally coordinators, each year we invest more than 1000 hours each in meetings with staff, vendors, volunteers, and city and county officials. And every year, the Town of South Padre Island pulls out all the stops to welcome SPI BikeFest participants to the Island! Our staff of more than 35 dedicated individuals have worked more than 2000 hours getting it together and running through every possible scenario to make this a memorable event. From Thursday through Sunday there are thousands of "pieces" that must come together to make this thing work. Fortunately for you though, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy! We are certain that SPI BikeFest will be one of the best rallies you've ever attended. You can be sure that as soon as the doors close on Sunday night and after a little shut-eye, we will be planning our next year’s event for your enjoyment!
✪ Close to 800 volunteers spending over 3000 hours manning booths, selling tickets, checking wrist bands,
folding t-shirts, serving beer, …
✪ More than 150 food & merchandise vendors at both sites open for 12 to 16 hours per day;
✪ 1500 feet of fencing to close in the Convention Centre location;
✪ 5 semi-tractor trailers of beer being served;
✪ 10 golf carts transporting attendees to and from the parking lots located off-site;
✪ 8 bands performing at the Convention Centre throughout the weekend;
✪ 40 radios used by the staff to communicate with each other;
✪ 2 big rigs and tractor trailers full of equipment and supplies;
✪ Ticket booths, tents and bleachers must be transported in for your use;
✪ More than 10 laptops are networked to handle registration;
✪ Approximately 450 staff meals are served in the hospitality room.
