volunteerForumApproximately 90% of the working individuals you come across at SPI BikeFest are VOLUNTEERS. And every one of them is here on behalf of a non-profit charity to which SPI BikeFest donates a portion of the proceeds from the rally. Some of these charities have seen funding from the government or from private donations drastically reduced and are finding their organizations competing for dwindling resources. Some of the monies raised through the various fees charged to volunteers_7participate at SPI BikeFest are earmarked to assist these charities continue their operations. On behalf of the many volunteer organizations, we would like to thank you for helping the hundreds of families who have come to rely on them for basic social services.

If you would like to volunteer to work during SPI BikeFest, here is some information you need to know.

If you volunteer, you are expected to:

  • Work a minimum of a 6-hour shift. (due to the enjoyment most people experience, many people will sign up for multiple shift)
  • Report in to the Volunteer desk in the lobby 15 minutes prior to your shift.
  • Remain at your post until relieved of your responsibility by another volunteer or the Staff Volunteer Coordinator.
If you volunteer you will receive:
  • A big Thank You, praise and appreciation from SPI BikeFest!
  •  Volunteer t-shirt (while they last)
  • Free admission to rally site for the days you are working.
  • Work two 6-hour shifts in one day, you'll probably get some food.
  • Work all day and you'll get tired as us...
